| The Amazonic Institute of Scientific Research "SINCHI" is
organized as a non profit civil organization, with public character but subject to the
rules of private law, linked to the Ministry of the Environment. It has administrative
autonomy, legal personality and its own assets. The
Institute’s objective is to carry out and divulge high level scientific research and
investigations on the biological, social and ecological reality of the amazon region.
