Institute of pacific environmental research "John Von Neumann"

The Institute of Pacific Environmental Research "John von Neumann" is structured as a non profit civil organization, with public character but subject to the rules of private law and is linked to the Ministry of the Environment. It has administrative autonomy, legal personality and its own assets.

The Institute is in charge of carrying out studies and research on the environment of the Pacific Coast and the biodiversity of Chocó. It will also continue the plans formulated by the Biopacific Project.

The Institute will associate its investigations to the Institute of Pacific Studies of the Universidad del Valle.
